Atmosphere
An atmosphere is a gaseous envelope surrounding planets, such as Earth and Valux. Humans can't breathe the atmosphere on Valux, as Brian and Sophie noted among other reasons humans were incompatible with the planet after telling the Barkers they couldn't come with them to Valux. (Aliens Go Home)

An Elf is a creature from Earth myths. One meaning of the term "brownie" is a benevolent elf said to haunt houses and secretly do chores. Sophie looked up the various definitions of brownies when Lucy became a junior member of the Guides Association, she and Brian initially believed that Lucy was an elf. (Brian of the Brownies)

Light-year
A light-year was a unit of measurement used to measure interstellar distance. Valux was four hundred and fifty million light years away from Earth, as Brian and Sophie noted to Mel and Lucy when they revealed to them that they were aliens. Lucy scoffed at this claim, laughing and pointing out that that was right in the middle of deep space, past the Crab Nebula. (Aliens Go Home)
Obviously, in the real world, a light-year is the distance that light travels through space over the course of an Earth year. My Parents Are Aliens never explicitly makes this connection.
Mooseman
A Mooseman is a hypothetical cross between a man and a Moose. This was suggested by Brian when the family were discussing Howie finding out about Brian and Sophie being aliens. When Mel mentioned Brian growing moose antlers he argued that it didn't have to mean he is an alien, saying it could mean he is a mooseman. Shortly after, when Howie witnessed Brian growing moose antlers after eating ice cream, he told him he was a mooseman, causing him to run away in fear. (Howie)

Jungle Run special
A special edition of Jungle Run featured some of the cast from My Parents Are Aliens: Jordan Maxwell (Frankie) Isabella Melling (Wendy) and Keith Warwick (Trent).
Time machine
A time machine is a possible device that is capable of travelling through time, thus presenting the opportunity of travelling into the past and changing the course of future events thus altering history. When Josh and Pete were sentenced to very long detentions by Mr. Whiteside, Brian suggested that Josh should use a time machine to alter the past events. Magna Carta
The Magna Carta was an eventful document in Earth history. When Lucy helped Josh with his revision, she asked him the year in which the Magna Carta was signed. When CJ pointed to his neck, Sophie guessed that he was referring to a Giraffe, while Brian guessed a snake, Sophie then guessed a Giraffe-Snake, explaining to Brian that that could happen. Rippleball is a sport that is only played on the planet Nebulon 5. When Sophie (morphed as Mel) went to present the school's coverage of the school basketball match in Mel's place, she told Brian that they were playing rippleball.
